Wow….it’s been so long since I updated. Mainly because my computer died about 3 weeks ago and I just got it back. But I was also super busy with the Fall Festival at church. So I’ll try to catch up on some pics and things that have been going on.
Brandon was home for a couple of weeks. He’s back out working now but only in Shreveport. While he was home he worked on getting our shower ready to tile. It’s only been torn out since January…. Anyway…haha…each day as he worked he, of course, had some great helpers and we had to get a picture of them “helping”.
We visited the pumpkin patch. I made the kids pumpkin shirts to wear. I was so excited with how they turned out. I’m now working on some turkey and Christmas ones. Anyway….It’s so hard to get a good picture of both of them….especially together. Faith started this crazy fake smile this day and Max was so fascinated with the pumpkins he didn’t want to look at me.
She picked this pumpkin out as soon as we got there and carried it around the whole time…..we bought it!
The week of Halloween we bought a pumpkin and carved it. I wasn’t sure how Faith would do with the slimy insides but she did better than her daddy!! :)
I bought a small pumpkin for each of them to decorate and some face stickers.
Max didn’t really understand the objective…I put 2 eye stickers on it for him and then gave him another to add and he pulled the eyes off and ate them….LOL…then proceeded to eat the stem the whole time.
Faith did really well with it….she loves stickers!
Max wasn’t so sure about the slimy stuff….he would put his hand in and as soon as he would touch slime he jerked it back out! Kinda like Daddy!!
Yes that is our pumpkin sitting on the back of our toilet!! LOL! After carving it Faith wanted to see it glow and it was the middle of the day so Brandon took it in the bathroom where it was dark so she could see it!
I feel like I’m blogging about the whole month on this one post….well I guess I kinda am!
Last but not least….Halloween. Well actually Fall Festival. I don’t think I even used the words Halloween or Treat or Treating with Faith. Because of my new job I was wrapped up in planning for our church’s fall festival for weeks leading up to Halloween. She was with me, helping me most of the time. Once she saw it all set up on Thursday and Friday she was so excited about it. I made her tutu for her cowgirl costume. As I was making it and even when I finished she refused to let me try it on her. When I would ask her if she was going to wear it for the fall festival she would say no. I was getting worried since it took me hours to make and I really wanted it to be a part of her costume. After she saw the games set up I told her she could come back and play the games and get candy if she would wear her tutu…bad mom bribing her…..so Saturday morning she woke up and BEGGED the whole day to put it on! LOL! They were both soooo cute!!
And an explanation of the final picture…during the festival we had a train (that was made out of barrels turned on their side and pulled by a 4wheeler). Max was riding with my niece Abby and the last car (the one they were in) wrecked. Poor baby….he landed on his face and the girls landed on top of him. It was VERY scary…We took him to the ER and had him checked out and a head CT done. Everything turned out fine and a week later his scabs were completely gone. Hopefully the scars will heal just as quickly!
Well…there is our month of fun!! HAHA Hopefully it won’t be 3 weeks before I update again!
