Beach Day 2

I have to start with a picture from last night.  When I got ready to go to bed I walked in and found Max sleeping in the middle of the floor.  If you can see in this picture Max’s mattress is in the top right corner inside the closet.  He somehow rolled off the mattress and out of the room.  (He’s been rolling off the mattress a lot since we’ve been here).  I now know he’s NOT ready to move out of his crib! 

This morning when we got up the sun was out!!  YAY!  First time since we’ve been here.  So of course we headed out to the beach.  While the kids were playing Danna and I were snacking on some chips and a seagull was hanging around.  We told Faith to give him 1 chip…..and this is what happened…….

Yep….a WHOLE bunch of gulls decided to hang out waiting to see if we would offer some more.  But don’t worry…..Logan saved the day!  He ran them all off!!  Then one seagull hung around and would  run all the other ones off….it was like he was saying….this is MY family with food….stay away!!! :) After dinner we went back out to do some crab hunting.  The kids each carried a bucket…..well Max wore his! :) We caught a bunch!  Every time Max would see one run across the sand he would bend down, barely brush the sand and act like he was grabbing one and put it in his bucket!   When we were walking along the beach the waves came up too high and got Faith’s dress wet.  She walked back holding her dress like this…..they WHOLE way!  Checking out all the crabs they caught in the light!

It rained again this afternoon.  HOPEFULLY we’ll have a sunny day tomorrow!  Although I have to admit the temperatures have been so nice with the clouds! :)
