SNOW…..

Thursday I dropped the kids off at school and started doing my usual errands and running.  As I was running around town it started snowing!  Lots of snowflakes falling from the sky.  BUT of course none were sticking.  They had been predicting snow but around here I don’t get my hopes up until I actually see it.  Around 10:30 they called and said the school would be closing early so I had to go pick them up at 1:00.  They were having their valentines party so I waited until 1:00 to go.  The snow was still coming down but still not sticking…  So we came home and laid down for a nap…when we woke up there was snow sticking to the porch and the ground!!  Faith was SOOOOO excited.  We went out and played in it a little but there wasn’t too much to play in at the time.  About that time Brandon called (he had been in BR for a work since Tuesday) and said he had to go to work in Pennsylvania!!!  I thought he was joking but NOPE he was serious….he had to drive home from BR that night in all the snow and then he left out around 6:00 Friday morning and drove most of the way to PA following that big snow storm.  I think he said it snowed on him for like 590 miles!!  CRAZY!!  Anyway….back to the snow here….after it got dark the snow really started coming down.  Right before bed they went out and played in it a little.  I showed Faith how to make a snow angel….I didn’t think she would like laying down in the cold snow but she made about 5 snow angels that night!

We went to bed and woke up the next morning to this…… (the first 2 pictures were taken by Faith out our back window)

OH how I miss it already!!  (Of course if we had snow all the time I would probably hate it)

This picture captures Faith and Max’s excitement when they first woke up Friday morning!!

They didn’t even give me a chance to change their clothes or feed them breakfast…they wanted their coats on and they were out the door….

 

Max really enjoyed eating the snow!! 

Faith and I built a snowman….we couldn’t find anything for a mouth so he was mouthless!

Then we built a small Max sized snowman! :)

Faify made a few more snow angels (my lens was fogging up)….

And then Max tried….he wasn’t so sure about laying in the snow!  

We had so much fun playing.  After playing for about an hour we went inside and ate some bfast and drank hot chocolate.  Then Mimi and Pappaw came over and we went back out again for about an hour.  Of course by the afternoon the snowing was already starting to melt away.  Because we live down in the woods (shaded areas) our snow hung around longer….it wasn’t completely gone until Sunday afternoon!!
